These car models were most in demand by South African car buyers in November 2019.

According to the Beat The Price New Car Demand Index for October 2019, Volkswagen had its strongest month of 2019 so far, fuelled by the launch of an appealing new subcompact SUV.

The Beat The Price New Car Demand Index for September 2019 shows Renault gaining ground against all of its competitors. The French automaker is now the third most requested brand on Beat The Price – something that is mirrored by September’s NAAMSA results.

A new African car brand debuted at Automechanika Johannesburg last week. Mureza initially was a joint venture with the SAIPA Group in Iran for platform-sharing and the supply of some major components, but Mureza's ultimate objective is to design and manufacture vehicles in Africa for African drivers.

The Beat The Price New Car Demand Index for July 2019 shows a particularly strong month for MOTUS, with six models in the top ten most requested cars. Demand for compact crossovers and SUVs continues to grow. These models now account for a quarter of our Top 20 list.

South African car buyers wanted these models the most in April 2019.

The newly launched Beat The Price Car Demand Index shows that ordinary South Africans are increasingly focussed on affordability and fuel-efficiency.
